A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT:
Hello and welcome to Appalachian State Alpha Phi's website!
Whether you are a potential new member starting your sorority journey, an alumna staying connected to the organization that shaped you, or wanting to see what our sisterhood is all about, we are so glad you are here!
My name is Ava Brinsfield, and I'm incredibly honored to serve as the Chapter President of Alpha Phi - Theta Nu. The women in this chapter are passionate, confident, and forever supportive of one another, and I'm beyond grateful to represent them. Over the past three years, Alpha Phi has given me an incredible sisterhood and has built me into the confident woman I am today. I'm very excited to serve as Chapter President and give back to the organization that has poured so much into me.
Our chapter is guided by Alpha Phi’s four core values: Sisterhood, Generosity, Character, and Innovation. We live these values every day by supporting and uplifting one another, celebrating each other’s successes, and growing together as leaders on campus and beyond. We are passionate about giving back, whether it’s raising funds for women’s cardiac health through the Alpha Phi Foundation or supporting our $25,000 grant with Watauga Medical Center here in Boone. Events like our Alpha Phifa Philanthropy Soccer Tournament and Annual Red Dress Gala allow us to come together in support of a cause greater than ourselves.
Alpha Phi also provides exceptional opportunities for personal and professional growth. From our 3-Day Disney Leadership Institute in Orlando, Florida, to our immersive Executive Leadership Conference in Denver, Colorado, our leaders gain valuable experience and skills that prepare them for success beyond college. Academically, we prioritize success by offering resources, study support, and encouragement to help each sister reach their fullest potential. Our strong alumnae network creates meaningful connections and mentorship opportunities, allowing members to build relationships that support them throughout their lives.
Today, our chapter is home to over 140 incredible women who each make Alpha Phi so special. Through sisterhood events, big and little, study buddies, dinner dates, Sweet Frogs runs, and movie nights with our Alpha Phi roomies, it is the simple moments spent together that make our organization a genuine sisterhood. Alpha Phi has truly made Appalachian State my home away from home. It has given me a place to make incredible friendships that I know will last a lifetime, introduced me to phenomenal role models who have inspired me to pursue my dreams, and surrounded me with women who support and uplift one another through every high and low of college. I can confidently say I would not be the woman I am today if it weren’t for the support and encouragement I have found in Alpha Phi. Being part of this chapter has shaped my college experience in the most meaningful way, and I am forever grateful for the love, encouragement, and memories this sisterhood has given me.
Thank you so much for stopping by our website! I hope you can feel that love and support that makes Alpha Phi such a meaningful part of our lives. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to connect! We would love to hear from you!
With love & AOE,
Ava Brinsfield
