Hello and welcome to Alpha Phi!

 

 I want to warmly welcome you to the Theta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi website at Appalachian State University! Whether you’re a current member, an alumna, a potential new sister, or simply exploring what our sisterhood is all about, I’m so happy to have you here.

 

My name is Gabriella Turchetti, and I am privileged to serve as the Chapter President of the Theta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi! It is truly an honor to represent and lead this incredible organization. I am filled with so much gratitude and excitement for this opportunity and eagerness to give back to the chapter that has given so much to me. I am so proud to wear my letters and be a part of something bigger than myself. As the President of this incredible chapter, I am honored to lead a group of over 140 women who inspire me daily with their kindness, sisterhood, and commitment to our shared values. Here at Theta Nu, we celebrate each other's accomplishments, support one another unconditionally in the highs and lows, and work collaboratively to positively impact our campus and Boone community.

 

Alpha Phi holds four high ideals close to the hearts of its members - Character, Innovation, Generosity, and Sisterhood. Through philanthropy, sisterhood bonding, academic excellence, leadership opportunities, and countless moments of joy, we strive to embody the high ideals of our fraternity. Notably, we were able to foster a local partnership with the Watauga Medical Center for their Higher Elevation Campaign. Theta Nu does not fall short of innovation, and I am so proud of every sister for their commitment and success in making a difference in our sorority and on a local and national scale. From the 3-day immersive Disney Leadership Institute in Orlando, Florida, to the intensive and transformative Alpha Phi Leadership Conference in Denver, Colorado, for Executive Councils, Alpha Phi provides unforgettable, unique opportunities for its members.

 

Having over 140 sisters throughout your college experience is truly the biggest blessing. An Alpha Phi sister once told me in recruitment during my first year at Appalachian State that you should find the sisterhood that brings more to the table than just the plate. And that is exactly what Alpha Phi has shown me without fail. I could not have imagined my college experience this far without my Alpha Phi sisters by my side. This sisterhood is passionate, welcoming and authentic. Here at Alpha Phi, you will find your support system, big and little, study buddies, mentors, go-to sweet treat run friends, future bridesmaids, and best friends. This sisterhood is more than just four years; it's for life.

 

I am confident I am a better woman because I am an Alpha Phi. The role models who have poured wisdom and time into me, the genuine bonds I have formed, the qualities I have gained for the professional world, and the leadership experiences I could have only dreamed of taking on are truly priceless. This chapter has instilled in me a confidence I didn't know I could ever have, and I am forever indebted to my Alpha Phi sisters.
